Alessandra is an Exhibition Designer (3D) and Set Designer based in London

Hello! I’m Alessandra, but I’m often called Ace (/a.ʧe/).

I identify myself as a multi-disciplinary designer, with previous experience in Architecture and Exhibition design and now building a career as Interior and Set designer.

I was born in Verona, a city in North East Italy, which is better known for being the set of Romeo and Juliet’s story and recognized as the most important city for traditional Italian opera. After I graduated from high school in classical studies in Verona, I moved to Politecnico di Milano to attend BA Architecture and subsequently I ‘with Distinction in MSc Architecture and History in the same university in 2018.

After my Architecture MSc I worked in Architecture and Design studios for a year before starting my activity as a Interior and Set Designer.

In 2019 I moved to London to attend MA Theatre Design at University of the Arts London – Wimbledon College of Arts where I graduated with Distinction in September 2020.

Before moving to London, I worked and participated actively in a Theatre Association in Verona, Ad Punctum, for over six years.

I’ve always been interested in Theatre and Performance. Even when studying Architecture, I kept looking at space as a dimension able to tell a story and to be in constant communication with sound and experience. I consider every form of Theatre as a mirror of contemporary and past society, therefore of great importance in the life of any individual wishing to learn something about himself.

During the years I’ve built proficiency in:

Software: Vectorworks, Autocad, Archicad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sketchup, Cinema4D, Procreate, Microsoft Office

Other Skills: Costume Design, Model Making, Technical Drawing, Construction Drawing, Photography, Video editing, Video Design, Photo Retouch, Online Resource, FF&E Resource, Mood boarding, Storyboarding, Sketching, Hand Drawing.
